• Tapers: compare the candle's base diameter with the holder opening. A coordinated appearance does not establish a secure fit.
• Pillars and sculptural candles: choose a candle-suitable, heat-resistant plate or holder with sufficient space for the design and any wax runoff.
• Votives: include or confirm a suitable votive holder; a bare votive on a decorative dish is not the same arrangement.
• Tealights: distinguish candles supplied in cups from refills. Place refills in suitable tealight cups, then choose holders that fit the cups securely.

For a host

Tapers make a thoughtful choice for someone who enjoys setting a table. Present them as a gift for a future evening, without expecting the host to rearrange tonight's table. A note such as “For your next slow Sunday supper” gives the gift a personal setting.

For a new home

A set of pillars in complementary heights makes a warm welcome to a new home. Add well-fitting candle plates so the recipient can enjoy a complete arrangement, or pair tapers and holders for their first dinner party.

For a birthday or a small thank-you

A favorite animal, a beautiful wax color or a collection of floral tealights makes the gesture personal. Pair several coordinating designs, add a useful holder and finish with a handwritten card.

For a wedding or anniversary

Consider a pair of tapers if candlelit dinners are part of the couple's life. If there is a registry, let it guide you. Choose something they can use at home; candles for the event itself need the venue's approval and a separate plan.

Make the wrapping part of the thought

Confirm the chosen size, quantity, color, fragrance description and included accessories. If there is a deadline, review the current processing and delivery information before ordering; a gift idea is not an arrival guarantee. Should I give a candle with a holder?

Include one when the recipient needs it and you have confirmed compatibility. If they already own a suitable holder, choosing a candle to fit it can feel especially thoughtful.

Are unscented beeswax candles completely odorless?

Our white beeswax has next to no scent. Our yellow beeswax has a gentle, naturally honey-like aroma. Neither contains added fragrance.

Can someone keep a decorative candle without burning it?

Yes. If they enjoy the shape as a decorative object, let that be part of the gift. There is no need to insist they light it.

What if I do not know their style?

Choose a simple shape in a color you have seen in their home, or ask a small practical question about the holders they use. A little information beats an elaborate guess.
